Since it's release, "mom's spaghetti" has almost become an inside joke within pop culture. The phrase (lyric) is a reference from Eminem's song "Lose Yourself," off the 8 Mile soundtrack. This week, the rapper is opening a restaurant by the same name.

"Mom's Spaghetti" will be celebrating their grand opening on Wednesday at 5 p.m. Rightfully, the restaurant is located in Downtown Detroit on Woodward Ave. Back in 2017, Eminem introduced the concept in 2017 as a pop-up, but it ended up being very successful that it's now becoming a permanent part of the city.

Eminem's manager and business partner said in the release,

The previous pop-ups were really a test for us to determine whether there was enthusiasm for a regularly-occurring Mom’s Spaghetti spot that would be open all year long.

People were first informed, last week, when local commercials started playing. The food consists of only spaghetti, meatballs and the sghetti sandwich. The menu may be limited but the food is handmade specially for the restaurant.

"Mom's Spaghetti" is served through a walk-up located in the alley of Union Assembly, a massive restaurant overlooking Comerica Park. A very small space is reserved for seating.

Not only will fans get to taste Mom's spaghetti for themselves but visit The Trailer, a store above the business that has been designed to represent Eminem's character (Rabbit) from 8 Mile. Fans will be able to buy merchandise plus Eminem memorabilia.

While nothing has been confirmed by the rapper himself, some are convinced this venture means a new album is on the way. The possibility isn't far-fetched considering when he first opened the pop-up in 2017 he was promoting his album, Revival.
