Driver of Stolen Car Hits & Injures 2 MSP Officers During Chase

Police officers probably handle a lot of similar crimes like traffic tickets, theft, and domestic disputes all the time. Still, when those calls come into dispatch they could be anything from an active shooting, stabbing, murder, rape, you name it, and sometimes the occasional car chase of a suspect. Showing up to events like that is seriously putting your life on the line.
Man Driving Stolen Vehicle Hits State Police Cruiser and Puts 2 Officers in Hospital
Two Michigan State Police Troopers were seriously injured while assisting in a police chase in Muskegon involving a suspect driving a stolen car.
The MSP cruiser that was hit by the stolen vehicle was assisting the officer that was actually in pursuit of the suspect. The suspect crashed into the assisting MSP cruiser putting 2 officers and the driver and his passenger into the hospital with serious injuries.
According to WZZM, the crash occurred at the corner of Holbrook and Peck in Muskegon when the suspect driving the stolen vehicle slammed into assisting MSP Troopers from the Grand Rapids Post.
The vehicle the suspect was driving hit a building after smashing into the trooper's vehicle and then caught on fire causing Muskegon firefighters to be called to the scene. A passenger in the stolen vehicle was trapped and firefighters had to pull them out.
There is no word on the exact injuries suffered by the troopers and suspects. The accident remains under investigation by the Michigan State Police.
