
Explore Downtown Grand Rapids With The 2025 Scarecrow Contest
Fall is in full swing, and the second annual Downtown Grand Rapids Scarecrow Contest arrives this weekend! This year, even more local businesses are joining the fun—34 businesses in total, about ten more than last year—decorating the streets with their own uniquely designed scarecrows.
Vote for Your Favorite Scarecrow
Voting is open from October 18 through 31. Visitors can cast their vote online here. The top three winning businesses will take home trophies—and neighborhood bragging rights!

Fall Fun and Community Spirit
In addition to the colorful scarecrow displays, hot cider will be available on weekends while supplies last. It’s a great way to get out and explore downtown, celebrate the season, and grab a photo op! Map out your adventure here.
