It's that time of year where you hear Christmas music pretty much everywhere you go. And that means that it is time again for the yearly debate about whether or not "Baby It's Cold Outside" is an appropriate song for the 2020s.

A few years ago, the lyrics from the song "Baby It's Cold Outside" came under some scrutiny and now it's highly debated. The lyrics that are deemed by some to be inappropriate are:

"The neighbors might think
Baby it's bad out there
Say what's in this drink?
No cabs to be had out there"

"I ought to say no, no, no sir
Mind if move in closer?
At least I'm gonna say that I tried
What's the sense of hurting my pride?"

"Ah, you're very pushy you know?
I like to think of it as opportunistic"

Some people think that the lyrics are too pushy and sound like the man is pressuring the woman to stay at his place against her will. They also point out that the line "Say what's in this drink?" might be in reference to a drugs slipped into her drink to make her pass out. And finally the line about being pushy vs opportunistic really puts a sour taste in some people's mouths.

What do you think about "Baby It's Cold Outside"? Is it inappropriate? Vote in our poll below and let us know.

If you do think that this song is inappropriate, you could instead listen to this version with Lady Gaga and Joseph Gordon-Levitt where they reversed the rolls.
