Dave Portnoy Sports Central Michigan University Gear During Pizza Review

College Football has returned in all its glory, and it was a weekend of huge matchups, huge upsets, and...pizza. The season kicked off with, by all accounts, a massive upset when the Florida State Seminoles, who went 2-10 last season, crushed the #8 Alabama Crimson Tide 31-17.

The game of the week was a matchup between the #1 Texas Longhorns and the #3 Ohio State Buckeyes, a rematch of the College Football Championship from the previous year.

Sure, the game was a big deal, but another story was unfolding outside the stadium, involving Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, known for his one-bite pizza reviews.

Dave Portnoy's Review in CMU

Dave Portnoy, an avid Michigan Wolverine fan, claimed last week that he had been banned from entering "The Shoe," also known as Ohio Stadium, by Ohio State University. This proved to be an overexaggeration based on Ohio State University's response.

Since Portnoy's schedule was opened up, he decided to swing by The Pizza House in Columbus (ironically, there is also an unrelated Pizza House in Ann Arbor). His attire for the review is turning heads as Portnoy is decked out in Central Michigan University gear.

At first glance, his outfit seems out of place. He has no connection to the school, CMU has no connection to the matchup, and it is a significantly smaller institution than either of the powerhouses that played over the weekend.

But then you realize his outfit looks familiar to a certain former University of Michigan coach who is at the center of a massive sign-stealing scandal. Connor Stalions was reportedly spotted in full CMU gear on the sidelines at a Central Michigan-Michigan State game a few weeks before Michigan played MSU that season.

It's a pretty funny callback outfit for Portnoy to wear, especially as a Michigan fan. Decent press for CMU, though probably not how they'd like it.

Oh, and as for the pizza, Portnoy gave it a 7.4/10.
