The pandemic caused all concerts and events to be postponed or cancelled. Events are starting to pop up on venue calendars in Grand Rapids and across Michigan.

Going to concerts has been a major part of my life since I was in sixth grade and went to see Kiss and Cheap Trick at the Pontiac Silverdome back in the day.

Working in radio all these years has kept me close to something I have always loved and that is the live music experience.

I started poking around on the internet and here is what I found so far for 2021:

20 Monroe Live - As I Lay Dying, Comedian Ron White and Kaleo.

DeVos Performance Hall - The Price Is Right Live, Live at Night with the Free Beer & Hot Wings Show and Comedian Tim Allen.

DeltaPlex - Grand Rapids Comic Con Spring Fling.

Van Andel Arena - Dave Matthews Band, The Doobie Brothers, Comedian Trevor Noah and Elton John.

Howard Park - Upheaval Festival featuring Disturbed and Staind.

Kalamazoo State Theatre - Herbology Presents Cheech & Chong's Up in Smoke, Friday, National Lampoons Vacation, Comedian/Actor Jeff Daniels, Beatles - 1964 The Tribute, Robert Cray Band, Music of Cream, Almost Queen Tribute, Tusk Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute, Robin Trower and Reo Speedwagon.

DTE Energy Music Theatre - James Taylor & Jackson Browne, Dave Matthews Band, Steely Dan & Steve Winwood, Bare Naked Ladies & Gin Blossoms, Santana, Megadeth & Lamb of God, Disturbed, Staind & Bad Wolves, Rod Stewart & Cheap Trick, The Black Crowes, Ted Nugent, Hall & Oates, Matchbox Twenty & The Wallflowers, Kiss, The Doobie Brothers.

Little Caesars Arena - Rage Against the Machine, My Chemical Romance, Elton John, Roger Waters, The Killers.

Comerica Park - Billy Joel, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Poison and Joan Jett, Guns N Roses, Green Day, Fallout Boy & Weezer.

I know there are more venues in Michigan but this should give you an idea that live events are getting scheduled so you may want to make some plans. Hopefully this state is on the downside of the pandemic so these events and more can be scheduled and actually happen.
