Comedian Kevin Nealon Catches a Bite at Grand Rapids Restaurant

Kevin Nealon is perhaps best well-known for his time as a cast member on Saturday Night Live. He's also appeared in several of the Happy Madison films, and played Doug Wilson on the showtime series Weeds.

Kevin Nealon Spotted at Amore Trattoria Italiana

A guy's gotta eat, right? While in town Kevin hit up a popular Grand Rapids area restaurant that serves up homestyle Italian favorites: Amore Trattoria Italiana.

Known for its yummy pasta dishes and incredible desserts, Amore Trattoria is located on Alpine Ave. in Comstock Park.

Friday night, the restaurant posted a photo to Facebook of owner and head chef Jenna Arcidiacono and Kevin Nealon smiling for the camera, saying,

It’s been a thrilling weekend at Amore including a visit from Kevin Nealon. He is so talented, funny & kind. Chef Jenna is cheesing big time. Such a fan!

I was there tonight with friends, standing next to you all when you took this picture. That was cool, he seemed very friendly. I’m sure that was fun having him visit tonight!! And the food was so good.

It's awesome to see such a cool thing happen for Chef Jenna and Amore - She's done a TON to give back to West Michigan!

During the pandemic, Chef Jenna and her team donated meals to local hospitals, fire and police stations, senior centers, and families in need. Chef Jenna made national news when she was nominated by a local fan to receive $10K from Mike Rowe's Facebook show "Returning the Favor" to continue her generous work in West Michigan. Earlier this year, Chef Jenna gifted a Grand Rapids restaurant worker a new car after his broke down and he'd been biking for an hour and twenty minutes each day to get to his jobs.

In January 2021, Chef Jenna was honored by Grand Rapids Business Journal as the 2020 Newsmaker of the Year. Chef Jenna was also one of ten to receive a 2020/2021 Governor's Service Award.
