With flu season approaching, a Grand Rapids Health Center is holding a drive-thru flu vaccine clinic in a few weeks.

Grand Rapids Business Journal reports Cherry Health is offering a drive-thru flu shot clinic 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1, at its Heart of the City Health Center at 100 Cherry St. SE.

Cherry Health is partnering with Alana’s Foundation, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and Michigan Community VNA on the clinic.

Patients at Cherry Health and the public (ages 2 and older) are able to get the quadrivalent injectable flu vaccine at the clinic.

If you don't have insurance, or your insurance doesn't cover the flu vaccine, Alana’s Foundation will cover the cost of your shot.

Cherry Health is asking those who'd like to attend to pre-register to here, using clinic ID 1302 and Passcode ALANAS2022) to ensure adequate vaccine supply.

Cherry Health Interim CMO Dr. Jenny Bush said in a release,

With flu season upon us, getting a flu shot is the best course of action to protect yourself and your loved ones from this contagious virus. We encourage everyone who can to get their flu shots as early as possible. Our drive-thru flu vaccine clinic at Heart of the City Health Center is a quick and easy way to prepare for this season’s flu strain. We’re grateful to partner with Alana’s Foundation, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and Michigan Community VNA to offer this service free of charge for our patients and our community.
