I'm going to be real, this “boat” house in Traverse City is one of my favorite houses I've come across in a long time. The shape of the house is a boat, it’s right on the water and when you look inside it’s modern, split-level, and super cool; especially the shower.  I wish I could afford the $2,190,000 price tag. Stupid Mega Millions jackpot going to someone else...

The 4,017 square foot mid-century home is located in Traverse City on Old Mission Peninsula. It has four bedrooms, 3.5 baths, two-car garage, and it’s pretty sweet, check the description from the listing from Amber Cyman on realestateone.com,

MOVE IN READY, This waterfront, mid-century modern, smart home on Old Mission Peninsula features heated floors throughout, a cooks kitchen with top of the line appliances, a generous master suite. 3 large cedar decks, a flagstone patio, and trex deck wrap along the back of the house makes this the perfect home for entertaining! Enjoy a 270 degree view of East Grand Traverse Bay! Mooring for a yacht up to 80ft, Redwood siding that is absolutely stunning, zero lawn maintenance, and a guest suite with a full kitchen and bath. So whether you want to sit back and relax or entertain the night away, this is the home for you!

Alright, now let’s take a look at the house.

**Also, take note of this little nugget - this house has a telescope in it. I’ve noted with the $1 Million plus house listings, there is ALWAYS a telescope somewhere. Is this a symbol for some kind of cool club or do people in million-dollar homes love the stars?  OR are they curious about their neighbors? I might be...  I’m just thinking out loud here, but really, you’ll start to notice it now when you look at $1 million-plus homes, they have usually will have a telescope.
