It is good to research the person you may buy or sell to. I have heard about a few sales going sour, so do your homework before making a deal, and what happened to another Michigander won't happen to you.

A Facebook Marketplace user in Kalamazoo, Michigan, got robbed by a person they were supposed to sell items to.

According to WOOD at the beginning of February, a Marketplace user agreed to sell a cellphone and two cellphone cases to 24-year-old Ignacio Pederson of Kalamazoo. That didn't quite happen as planned.

Instead of Pederson purchasing the items from the seller, he implied he had a gun and robbed them. What a jerk. Police have not said what Pederson got away with but when the police tracked him down he made another bad move by trying to flee.

Pederson was arraigned on charges of armed robbery and resisting and obstructing police.

The one good thing about Facebook Marketplace is you have to have an account to use it, so do some research on the person you are dealing with, and if you feel the slightest bit uncomfortable walk from the deal and never meet anyone you don't know alone.
