Caledonia High School Cancels In-Person Classes Due To COVID-19

Last week, Caledonia High School announced that in-person classes would be cancelled through September 11th after increases in COVID-19 cases among staff and students.

In a letter sent home to parents, Caledonia High School Administration said "At the recommendation of the Kent County Health Department (KCHD), Caledonia High School will close for in-person instruction, athletics and extracurricular activities for two weeks." During the two weeks that the school is closed instruction will be done virtually.

There are currently six positive COVID-19 cases, as reported by WOOD TV 8. Five of the positive cases are among students and one teacher has tested positive. Over 100 individuals were in contact with the students and teacher who tested positive and they have been asked to quarantine for 2 weeks.
