Brewery With Lucky In The Name Wasn’t So Lucky After Fire Breaks Out
A brewery in Paw Paw, Michigan, with the name Lucky Girl Brewing Company, wasn't so lucky when a fire broke out, not once, not twice, but three times.
Lucky Girl Brewing Company
Lucky Girl Brewing Company began in 2014 when founder Jeff Wescott wanted to create a craft beer that would leave a memorable experience.
Wescott found a brewer from Pennsylvania that had come from a 6 generation family of brewers to craft the beer for Lucky Girl Brewing Company.
Lucky Girl Brewing was successful enough to add its own winemaker to create the B 52 Winery which allowed the company to expand with a line of craft beers, ciders, wines, and meads.
Wescott hired an Australian native along with his wife who shares a career of 40-plus years of making wine all around the world
Their kitchens provide a variety of smoked meats, wings, and mac and cheese to enjoy with their amazing wines or craft beers.
Lucky Girl Brewing Company Catches Fire
Lucky Girl Brewing Company's luck ran out on Tuesday, January 23rd in the early morning hours when the Paw Paw fire department responded to a fire alarm.
According to WMMT, firefighters had put out flames twice early Tuesday morning but a third fire started in the back of the building in the afternoon, and when responders arrived flames were going through the roof. The fire was a total loss for Lucky Girl Brewing Company.
There are plans to keep the brewery going in the future as it will be moved to the B 52 Winery.
