A 45-year-old man suspected in the abduction of 13-year-old Deontae Mitchell in Detroit has been arrested in Ohio Michigan State Police confirm.

The body of a young black male was found in a field in Detroit, and police are investigating whether or not it's connected to Tuesday's kidnapping. The Amber Alert for Deontae Mitchell will remain in effect until it is confirmed whether or not the body is that of the missing teen.

Gregory Walker, the man who was arrested, is believed to be connected to Deontae's disappearance Tuesday night. Deontae was last seen with his cousin outside of a store in Detroit.

Deontae and his cousin were riding their bikes Tuesday night when a man with a gun grabbed Deontae, forced him into a car, and drove away.Throughout the encounter the man was carrying a nickel-plated revolver, Detroit Police Chief James Craig said at a news conference.
