Big Ten To Let 6 MSU Football Players To Return But Is It Ethical?
6 of the 7 Michigan State Football players who were involved in the tunnel fight with 2 Michigan players will return to the playing field but is it a lack of character by MSU?

6 Suspended Football Players Returning to MSU
If you have seen the video, then you know this wasn't a typical fight between a player on one team and another on the other team out on the field. This was a group of MSU players in the tunnel after a game brutally assaulting 2 University of Michigan players after the game was over.
7 MSU players were suspended for assault with one of the players being charged with a felony.
The Big Ten Conference says the player's and MSU's punishment was sufficient. The team was fined $100,000, and 7 students were charged accordingly.
The six MSU players that will return are Itayvion Brown, Angelo Grose, Justin White, Jacoby Windmon, Brandon Wright, and Zion Young. Khary Crump was charged with a felony and is still awaiting punishment from the court. Crump will be suspended for 12 games total. 4 this season and the first 8 games of next year.
Is MSU Showing a Lack of Character By Allowing the Players to Return?
I get in the outside world, you commit a crime, accept your punishment and then you return to the public and start over. I get it, everyone deserves a second chance in that type of framework.
My problem is, this wasn't a scuffle on the field, this was a beat down by a group of guys stomping, punching, and beating opposing team members with helmets. Isn't that considered unacceptable behavior in the eyes of MSU or the Big Ten? If I were the coach, I would find 7 new players to fill their spots and as a university, the players would be expelled from school.
I don't think this was an ethical decision by the Big Ten or MSU and the whole thing lacks a lot of character from both organizations. This to me Is this telling the younger players, it's okay to bash a guy with a helmet, kick and stomp them to the ground, pay your fine and you can do whatever you want.
I know college football is big money and great players are hard to find but I just think the beatdown doesn't match the punishment and would like to see the Big Ten and MSU show more character. I'm sure there are 7 other players who are just as good and would appreciate the opportunity.
