But one Michigan shop is getting some serious national love for serving up the best milkshake in the state.

According to Lovefood.com, which searched far and wide for the most magnificent milkshakes in every state—using awards, reviews, and their team’s own taste buds—the top shake in the Mitten State comes from Blank Slate Creamery, with locations in both Ann Arbor and Brighton.

This family-run creamery first opened in Ann Arbor in 2014 and has earned a loyal following ever since. They make their own ice cream mix and whip up most of their mix-ins from scratch.

From classics to bold, unexpected flavors, there’s something for every palate. A few of the more creative options that caught my eye? Balsamic Strawberry, Bourbon Turtle, Lavender Honey Lemon, and Browned Butter Cookie Dough. Yes, please.

So, which milkshake earned top honors? That would be their White Chocolate Raspberry Chip:

There's a huge array of flavors available at Blank Slate Creamery, which has two outposts in Ann Arbor and one in Brighton, but it's the white chocolate raspberry chip milkshake that customers love the most. Featuring melted Guittard white chocolate, a fresh raspberry swirl, and chocolate chips, it disappeared from the menu for a while but was brought back by popular demand.
