Frederik Meijer Gardens Announces First Acts For Summer Concert Series

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park has announced the first four acts that will be performing at this year’s outdoor summer concert series.

Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork, two of the four original members of The Monkees, will perform at the Gardens as part of The Monkees 50th Anniversary tour on June 8.

Indie/ Alternative, Icelandic quintet Of Monsters and Men, will play June 13.

Indie-folk band,The Decemberists will take the stage July 11.

Singer-songwriter Ben Harper, along with The Innocent Criminals come to Frederik Meijer Gardens July 13.

The complete lineup for the Fifth Third Bank Summer Concerts at Meijer Gardens will be announced in April.

The concert series runs June through September at the Meijer Gardens amphitheater.

Tickets go on sale to the general public May 14 at 9 a.m.
