Many breweries offer seasonal beer options or make special brews around a holiday or have been clever enough to create a great beer that is so good it creates its very own holiday like Bells Beer has done with Oberon Day which was recently celebrated in March.

Bell's Brewery has been one of the most successful craft breweries in the business. With success, Bell's likes to give back to the community that helped put their beers on the map, not just in Michigan, but around the country.

Larry Bell the founder and creator of Bell's Brewery has since sold the company but Bell's still continues following the road map created by its founder. Even since Larry retired he is still giving back to causes all around the state.

Bell's Brewery is continuing Larry Bell's art of giving back by creating "Lager for the Lakes."

According to FOX 17, Bell's Brewery is donating $25,000 to the Alliance for the Great Lakes which is a nonprofit group that helps protect the fresh, clean, and natural waters of the Great Lakes.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
