Bagger Dave's downtown Grand Rapids can now be added to the list of restaurants that are no longer with us.

According to MLive, the burger joint at 241 Fulton Street shut its doors for good on Monday, January 9.

This follows the closing of two other West Michigan Bagger Dave's since late 2015. The downtown location opened in May 2013.

A note was posted to the door reading,

Unfortunately, we have decided to close this Bagger Dave's location. Please know that we greatly appreciated your business and support. We would love to see you visit us again at another one of our restaurant locations."

Bagger Dave's on the East Beltline remains open.

District manager of property manager Eenhorn LLC, Mike Karel, told MLive,

They [The downtown location]  had poor sales and never really took off. They told us last week they would shut down."

Eenhorn says they are working on a long-term strategy for the property, and in the meantime will look for a short term tenant for the next three to five years.

What do you want to see come to downtown Grand Rapids?
