Bad Break-up: Michigan Teen Allegedly Burns Down Ex’s Home

This type of breakup happens when a romantic relationship ends in a highly devastating manner, often involving factors like infidelity, abuse, sudden abandonment, significant life disruptions, or a combination of all of these which is well beyond the typical regular breakup.

Bad Break-up Leads to a Michigan Teen Allegedly Burning Down His Ex's Home

According to WOOD, 18-year-old Cameron Spencer allegedly burned down the home of his ex's family and is now facing eight felony counts: four counts of attempted murder, one count of second-degree arson, one count of first-degree home invasion, and two counts of malicious destruction of property. Now that's a mouthful of charges.

Spencer allegedly set his ex's family home on fire with four people inside on Sunday, November 24, around 3:30 a.m. One of the children woke up and told the family the house was on fire to get out. A suspect was seen fleeing the scene as the family exited the burning home. Spencer was the former boyfriend of someone at the home and after being questioned by police he eventually got arrested.
