Art Van Offering Free Flag Trade In July 4th
If you want to fly your American Flag for Independence Day, but it's seen better days-- Art Van Furniture is offering free flag trade in!
Bring in your flag to any Art Van showroom in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri, and they'll replace it with a new, 3-foot by 5-foot, American flag on Thursday, July 4, 2019. Art Van Furniture then retires the old flags and disposes of them in accordance with the US Flag Code.
Ron Boire, president and CEO of Art Van Furniture, said in a release,
“Art Van is an American company that has been serving families for 60 years. We want everyone to be able to proudly display the symbol of our country’s freedom on their front porches and in their backyards.”
According to Art Van they've given away more than 40,000 flags since the program began in 2017.
You may be able to trade in your flag leading up to the 4th at select Art Van locations. I was at Art Van on Alpine Ave. over the weekend, and they had already begun their flag-trade in program for the Fourth of July holiday. It's a good idea to call ahead to the store you want to go to and ask!
