Art Van Starts Liquidation Sale, But May Not Honor Warranties

Art Van Furniture announces they were closing all stores and selling off inventory with a liquidation sale that started Friday.

Well, that’s great if you’re hoping for some serious deals, but if you recently bought furniture and paid extra for the warranty, all of the closing news is not cool.

Fox 17 talked with customers who were trying to figure out if their warranties would be honored because they were getting conflicting information, although it’s looking like the company won’t be honoring any warranties and won’t be handing out any refunds either.

Also if you think you can stop paying payments on your Art Van credit card, Fox 2 Detroit says nope that’s not true, there will still be someone who expects that money. So don’t ruin your credit or anything.

As for the official closing date, the closet we have now is a month as Fox 2 reports all stores will be closed in May.
