Explore The Haunted Halls Of The Amway Grand Plaza For Two Nights Only

The Amway Grand Plaza is one of the most iconic buildings visible in Grand Rapids' skyline, a building that has stood the test of time as the city has developed around it. Before the Amway Grand Plaza opened in 1981, it was known as the Pantlind Hotel, which was built in 1913.

With over 100 years of history in its halls, workers and visitors claim that the hotel has gained some guests who will never check out. While it's not the kind of thing the hotel would typically feature on its website, last year it embraced this more supernatural aspect of its history by hosting a one-night-only ghost tour for the first time.

That tour was very popular, selling out instantly. This year, they've brought it back for a second year and expanded it into a two-night event, offering more attractions than last year, as well as the option to stay on the floor with the most reported ghost activity. 

Ghosts of the Grand

On October 29th and 30th, the Amway Grand Plaza will be hosting walking ghost tours every thirty minutes between 5:30 and 8:30, significantly more than last year. Each tour lasts one hour, providing access to areas typically closed to the public. It starts with an introduction from Russ Aubil, an Amway Grand Plaza historian, and ends with a one-on-one moment with renowned seer Rick Waid.

If you're really committed to a night of fright, you can contact the hotel and be "placed on a floor with high reports of paranormal activity", but this is not included in your ticket. Either way, once the tour is over, you can get access to the Amway Grand's exclusive bar, IDC, where you can have some spirits with some spirits, if you're lucky.
