Tons of Michigan eateries are about to get their close-up on a national stage! America's Best Restaurants, a popular internet food show that spotlights must-try local dining spots, recently wrapped up a whirlwind tour of Michigan—filming at more than 15 restaurants across the state.

Did you catch them in action? Cameras were rolling everywhere from the Upper Peninsula to West Michigan, shining a light on everything from cozy diners to waterfront taverns.

America's Best Restaurants Shoots in St. Ignace, Mich.

The post that first caught my eye came from The Gankplank Pub & Grub in St. Ignace, where the show filmed on August 21. They wrote,

We had a blast showing the America’s Best Restaurants crew around, and letting them see firsthand just how great The Gangplank Pub & Grub is! America's Best Restaurants travels the country visiting restaurants you should eat at on a weekly basis, and we definitely think you should be coming to The Gangplank Pub & Grub! We can’t wait to share the episode once it is completed!

It looks like a super-fun spot downtown St. Ignace with views of Lake Huron and the passing ferries. The menu is massive, with everything from salads and sandwiches to tacos, pitas, nachos, loaded fries, burgers, and dinners like ribs and broiled whitefish.

One item in particular that caught my eye was a massive burger so big it needs a steak knife to hold it all together. The Walk the Plank Burger, a towering creation with two Angus patties, blue cheese crumbles, pulled pork, bacon, fried pickles, slaw, and even cheese curds. Looks like it caught the attention of America's Best Restaurants as well!

But the show's tour of Michigan definitely didn't stop there!

The crew was busy, stopping in restaurants in Coopersville, North Muskegon, Newaygo, Belding, Grand Ledge, Glen Arbor, Gaylord, Rogers City, Indian River, Manistee, and more.
