Hopefully this year people will be able to travel more than they did in 2020. The tourism industry pretty much came to a halt last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As more and more people are starting to travel once again, on Friday Allegiant Airlines announced two new round-trip flights out of Grand Rapids, MI's Gerald R. Ford International Airport.

Just where will these new flights take you?

How about Boston, Massachusetts? One-way fares to Beantown will start at $40. Or perhaps you'd like to spend a little more and head south. For $80 you could fly one-way to the panhandle of Florida to the city of Destin. These new routes will take off twice a week.

For these introductory fares, you must purchase tickets by March 8 and travel by April 29.

These new routes are in addition to the flights that were announced a month ago to Portland International Airport (PDX) and to the Rapid City Regional Airport (RAP)

Last fall, flights to Newark, New Jersey were also added from Grand Rapids. Those flights were scheduled to start on March 5th.

Allegiant Airlines now flies to 18 different cities from the Gerald R. Ford International Airport:

  • Austin, TX
  • Boston, MA
  • Daytona Beach/Sanford, FL
  • Destin/Fort Walton Beach, FL
