A Volunteer Group Is Helping Out Local Restaurants By Delivering Food For Free
In San Francisco a group called 'North Beach Delivers' has been going around every Thursday night and delivering food orders for different restaurants for free. So far, they've saved local restaurants up to $50,000 in revenue.
ABC 7 reports that the group gives all of their tips directly back to the restaurants. So far, they've been given back nearly $50,000 to the local eateries.
They only do the deliveries once per week, but are averaging between 40 and 50 orders every week.
The great thing is that customers aren't charged delivery fees, so folks are tipping more than they would to GrubHub, Uber Eats, or Postmates.
