A car crash from the previous weekend led to a man's body being pulled from Plaster Creek in Grand Rapids Sunday morning.

According to WOOD, 25-year-old Austin Huisingh of Hudsonville is believed to be the man who was found in Plaster Creek. The previous weekend his car jumped the curb, went through a guardrail and landed in the water.

A medical examiner is checking dental records and will make an announcement this week.

The crash happened on March 16th and crews were able to get the car out of the creek but due to dangerous conditions they were unable to search for the body until the next Sunday. The body was located under the Market Avenue bridge.

Huisingh's co-workers at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids said he worked third shift, always had a smile and positive energy.

A memorial has been put up at the crash scene where candles, flowers and balloons have been placed. A t-shirt from Mary Free Bed was also displayed with messages from co-workers written on the shirt.
