6 New Year’s Resolutions You Can Actually Accomplish
There are the typical New Year's resolutions most people make but how about some you can actually accomplish in 2023?
New Year's Resolutions
Every year to bring in the New Year, many celebrate in various ways from parties to fireworks, to traveling to a fun destination. One thing most people have in common is making a New Year's Resolution.
If you are unfamiliar with the New Year's Resolution process, it is to make a promise to yourself to start doing something good or stop doing something bad on the first day of the year. Like, eating healthier or quitting smoking.
New Year's Resolutions You Can Actually Accomplish
Many people set some pretty difficult resolutions while others keep it simple and some just say the heck with the whole thing. Below are 6 resolutions that can be accomplished.
6. Save a Little Money
I know it's tough out there to save money but it can be done. Try to stay away from impulse purchases and put a little money into a jar or envelope. Try to be disciplined to stay out of it and put it toward something like a vacation, a bill, or to just see how much you can add to your bank account. Cut out those little things that don't matter but can add up after a whole year. Who knows, if you start now you might have enough to pay off next Christmas.
5. Change Your Image
Rather than setting lofty weight and exercise goals, why not change your look with a new hairstyle, hair color, beard, or no beard, get a tattoo, and maybe change your wardrobe a little at a time? This is an easy way to help make yourself feel better and who knows, it also may inspire you to become more healthy.
4. Be Kind To Others and Take Time for Yourself
A simple smile or wave to a stranger can change another person's day for the better. Open a door, help someone carry something, let a car pull into your lane, any of these things can make another person's day better. Text an old friend or relative. Call someone you haven't talked to in a while and catch up.
Take time for yourself. It is easy to get busy with work and family and helping others and sometimes hard to have a moment for yourself. Always leave a little room to do something that makes you feel good.
3. Cook a New Meal
Try to find new meals to create at home. Maybe 1 new recipe a month, or week. Food makes people happy and it might be fun to cook something with your significant other or if the kids are big enough to join in and make the meal together. Cooking at home could help you save money plus it's better for you. The internet is just full of endless ideas.
2. Help The Environment
There are lots of little ways to help the environment that are easy. Clear the clutter by donating old items. You will feel better around the house plus earn yourself a tax deduction for next year. Shop at thrift stores, and rummage sales to help save money plus this is another form of recycling. Use your own tote bag at the grocery store and stop getting all those plastic bags. If you see some trash laying around, pick it up, the land will look better and you will feel better.
1. Get Some Sleep
One of the best things you can do for yourself and it is absolutely free and that is to make sure you get enough sleep. A great way to meet your goals each and every day is to make sure you have enough rest. By getting around 8 hours of sleep you can feel fresh to accomplish your goals each day without feeling run down. You will become more productive, and have a better mood, plus it boosts your immune system helping you avoid colds and other health issues.
