Detroit Lions 2022 Season Opener

The Detroit Lions came out strong against the Philidelphia Eagles scoring a touchdown on their first drive. Then, it was all downhill for the remainder of the first half after the Eagle's offense exploded with 24 points.

After the third quarter, the Lions started the 4th quarter down 17 points. Although they did make a solid comeback, dropped passes and missed tackles cost them the game losing 38-35.

Once again Lions fans' hopes are crushed because of fundamental mistakes.

It was not easy to find any great opening days for the Detroit Lions simply because they usually do not do well in the first game of the season.

This was Kenny Golladay's first game in the NFL and in the 4th quarter he wound up catching two touchdown passes from Stafford. The Lions scored 20 points in the 4th quarter beating the Cardinals 35 to 23.
