Today on Segment 16, the guys check out a story about the possibility of Zero Tolerance policies being relaxed in schools. A kid found a knife on the first day of school, and took it to his counselor to be a good person, and not bring it into the school, and got suspended for a year. This kind of thing is ridiculous, and should be stopped.

If this goes through, then teachers and administrators could judge things based on the incident. If a kid brings a gun to school...there's still zero tolerance. But other cases can be weighed against the kid's history, typical behaviour, and other factors, rather than just being expelled or suspended blindly.

If the governor signs the legislation, the law would go into effect next school year.
