Good news!(?) Church & Dwight’s First Response Pregnancy Pro Digital Test & App Access, the world's first smart Bluetooth pregnancy test, is coming your way, ladies!

The test communicates via Bluetooth with an on an iPhone or Android device. The app will let you know right away if test is working properly, and will give instructions on how to proceed. The test itself turns on when you unwrap it, and then you have to tap a button to sync it with the app on your phone.

The test will take around three minutes to complete, and during that time you'll see a countdown timer. The app will tell you when the test first detects the sample (which is good, because a lot of times women wonder if they've provided enough for the test to read properly.)

As the countdown continues, you can tell the app to do one of three things "educate me", "entertain me", or "calm me". If you choose to be educated, the app will give you all sorts of information about pregnancy and fertility. If you choose to be entertained, the app will show you amusing videos. And if you choose to be calmed, the app will suggest breathing exercises or be shown a calming video.

You won't actually see the results of the test until you enter a special code.

Once you get your results, the app will suggest the next steps for you to take.

If the test is positive, and you made it known to that app that you wanted to become pregnant, the app will congratulate you. If you made it known that you did not want to become pregnant, it doesn't give you the cheery message.

If the test comes back positive, you can then have the app estimate your due date, and supply other pregnancy resources.

If it comes back negative, the app will suggest some fertility tips.

The Bluetooth test looks almost identical to the non-Bluetooth capable tests and will cost you between between $15 and $22. A standard First Response test costs about $10 for two sticks.

The app is free and some of the content contained in it will be available whether you take the test or not. To unlock the test-taking features, you must purchase the stick.

The test should be available to consumers this Spring.
