This week the world lost one of the greatest managers in pro wrestling history, Paul Bearer.

Bill Moody began working under the name Percival "Percy" Pringle, III in 1979 and became a star in the 1980's in Florida Championship Wrestling, World Class Championship Wrestling and the United States Wrestling Association managing wrestlers like Rick Rude, Steve Austin and Mark Calaway (The Undertaker) in the early parts of their careers.

He joined the World Wrestling Federation (WWE) in 1990 and used his real-life experience as a mortician to create the character of Paul Bearer. The rest, as they say, is history.

"Paul Bearer was the most unique manager we've ever had because he managed the most unique individual in the history of the business." - Vince McMahon
