If Beyonce can release a surprise album, why not ? After splitting the band up last year to go solo, frontman Andrew Stockdale decided to go back to using the Wolfmother name and released its third album 'New Crown' via Bandcamp.

The band has also unleashed a video for the trippy, fuzzy single 'Heavy Weight' (as seen above). Wolfmother look like they had fun making the clip, which features them driving around in their van playing air instruments along with other scenes where they are playing their real gear.

The album lineup is Stockdale on vocals/guitar, Ian Peres on bass/keyboards and Vin Steele playing drums. It's the follow-up to 2009's 'Cosmic Egg.' Peres and Steele also appeared on Stockdale's 2013 solo release 'Keep Moving.'

Wolfmother will visit their homeland of Australia for shows on March 31 and April 1; and have U.S. and Mexico dates in May before heading back to Australia. For all their tour info, go here.
