Star Wars toys have been around seemingly forever! When "Star Wars: Episode 1" came out, I fell in love with the movie.

Nowadays? Not so much. However, I did fall for the hype though, I have so many "Star Wars: Episode 1" toys, it's crazy; and they are all still in their original packaging!

Now a new Star Wars movie is coming, and that can only mean one thing ... MERCHANDISE!

This is a whole new movie, new director, new production company. NEW EVERYTHING!

So, what are the toys going to be like? Star Wars toys have been around since 1977 when the original movie hit theaters. If you look at the toys from the '70s versus the ones that came out around the '90s, there are some insane differences!

I'm really curious to see how they are going to promote this movie. Are they going to give it a darker edge and have more serious looking toys, or are they going to hit the hard-core market and go after the older demographic!

My prediction is still aim it towards kids, but not forget about that older demographic.

The prequel trilogy was extremely kid-friendly, so the toys and stuff were perfect for those movies.

They'll do the same thing for the new movie, but how will the figures be modeled?

The kid in me is curious, and I am guessing we'll have to wait till the end of next year to find out what's in store for the Star Wars toy market!
