Halloween, the time of the year where scares are encouraged. You never watch a Christmas movie during Summer do you? Well maybe you do, but I classify you are weird. One type of movie that brings out the scares though are Horror films, and there a lot of good ones. Which one is your favorite though?

Anything from The Thing, Saw, Scream, and Friday the 13th, you are guaranteed to have at least one scare during these flicks. What's my favorite horror film of all time though?

The original 'Halloween'

Rob Zombie's version is great and all, but the original was just awesome. You didn't know much about Michael Myers, but you knew he was out to kill the remainder of his family. In this case, Jamie Lee Curtis. This was before she was talking about her pooping well with Activia.

The original Halloween didn't need blood and gore to freak you out, just the eerie breathing sound from the mask, and the thought that at any moment, Michael Myers could show up and kill you with his signature knife. He didn't need to talk or have some elaborate story line, he was just a soul who was out to kill. The history of how this movie came to be is equally as interesting as well. Everyone on the set never imagined that the movie would be a smash hit, but it did, and everyone is still as freaked out by it as they were in 1978.

I own this movie on VHS and Blu-Ray and I watch it every year!
