Willie Snead IV, who played his high school football at Holland Christian and Muskegon Heights, would have been the New Orleans Saints hero yesterday in the NFL Playoffs, had not a miracle intervened.

Snead, a fourth year wide receiver, caught a dagger from New Orleans' Hall of Fame bound quarterback Drew Brees on fourth and ten late in the game Sunday. That play kept their drive alive and helped put the Saints into field goal range for Will Lutz, who split the uprights moments later to give the Saints a 24-23 lead over the Minnesota Vikings with just seconds remaining.

That lead didn't last, as a miracle last second pass from the Vikings Case Keenum to Stefon Diggs provided the margin of victory for Minnesota.

Snead, who played quarterback in high school, also tossed a pass in the game, taking a pass off from Brees and tossing an incomplete pass downfield toward a wide open Alvin Kamara. Had Snead completed that pass, it could have been a different story for the Saints.

Snead played three seasons at Ball State in Indiana before signing as a free agent with Cleveland in 2013.
