West MI Woman’s Post About Abandoned Puppy Goes Viral

Last Friday, Danielle Cole’s husband saw one of the saddest scenes that can happen to a pet; an owner threw his dog out of his pickup and drove off. She posted the story on Facebook, and asked that it be shared so the heartless owner would know what the dog went through.

So far, it’s been shared over 13,000 times.

It all happened Friday afternoon around 3:30 on 48^th Street in Allegan Township, near the Allegan State Game Area.

The saddest part of the post is describing what the dog went through, right after it happened:

As you sped off your dog chased after you and ran as fast as his little legs would let him until his legs gave out and collapsed on the side of the road. My husband seen this all happen he stopped to help your dog but the little guys was so scared that he ran into the forest and hid.

Her husband stopped to help the dog, but he was so scared he ran off into the woods.  Later on Friday night, Danielle and her husband returned to the wooded area where they again saw the dog, still waiting for his owner to return. Once again, they tried to help but the dog ran off.

She didn’t stop trying though, she returned Saturday morning with her dog and some treats, but when another car stopped to help, the scared dog ran off again.

Danielle couldn’t stop thinking about how scared and confused the dog was, so Saturday evening, she decided to stop once again and leave a bowl of food for the pup. That’s when she saw a group people trying to catch the dog once again, this time with the help of a little boy, they were able to finally catch the scared pup.

Danielle has taken the dog home for the time being and wanted the post shared so that hopefully the “scumbag” (as she called him) would see what the dog went through.

 I truly belive my husband was suppose to be running late that day so that he was able to see what you did. It's just to bad he couldn't get your plate number. She’s also looking for a good home for the dog. She says the pup is very sweet and loves her kids and gets along with her other dogs.
