Weezer, Social Distortion, More to Play 2011 Riot Fest in Chicago
Weezer, Social Distortion, Descendents and more will invade Chicago October 5-9 for the 2011 Red Bull Riot Fest. The festival will sprawl across multiple venues throughout the city.
Other acts scheduled for Riot Fest include punk legends X, who will perform their debut album Los Angeles in its entirety, Youth of Today, Detroit punk-rockers The Suicide Machines for another reunion show and more. The full lineup can be found below.
Another headliner will be announced this Friday, June 24, at 10am. It seems to be a pretty big deal according to festival founder Mike Petryshyn.
“The very final headliner announcement is very special for me personally, and almost needless to say, it’s something that I never thought would happen,” Petryshyn said in a statement. “We thought that this deserves its very own separate announcement, and I’m happy to say that we’ll be doing it with a few close friends that you might know this upcoming Friday.”
The identity of the mystery headliner is anyone’s guess. Perhaps the reunion of a major band? We’ll find out Friday.
Tickets go on sale this Friday as well at 11am through TicketFly.
