Sadly, we lost Wayne Static last year, and the cause of his death has now been released to the public. Blabbermouth broke the story today that Wayne mixed prescription medicine with alcohol shortly before his death.

A "cocktail of Xanax and other powerful prescription drugs with alcohol" was what killed the Static X founder and frontman on November 1st, 2014.

While Wayne and his wife Tara Wray have stated that they stopped using illegal drugs in 2009, they were both taking prescribed oxycodone and Xanax for panic attacks, and alcohol.

Wayne's mother claims he was an admitted alcoholic, but was never suicidal.

While the report lists the cause of death to the above mixture, his manner of death has been listed as "natural".
