To honor the men and women who serve our country, Metallica played the 'Concert for Valor' on Veterans Day in Washington D.C. It was a free concert to recognize the courage and sacrifice of veterans, active duty service members and their families. Check out footage of their whole set, which included “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” “Master of Puppets” and “Enter Sandman” here!

After an intro by Jack Black, Metallica take the stage around the 2:25 mark.

Prior to the concert, Metallica released this statement on their website:

“We are honored to be asked to participate in a very special first-of-its-kind concert saluting U.S. veterans and their families on the National Mall in Washington D.C. this Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2014 ... We’re excited to play for those who have given so much of themselves for others as the night shines the spotlight on the more than 20 million American veterans who have served.”
