Chris Cornell is making the promotional rounds as he supports his latest album Higher Truth and that recently took him to SiriusXM where he performed as part of the Artist Confidential series. During the acoustic performance, Cornell stepped outside of his catalog and took on a classic song penned by Prince.

Cornell and his group performed a somber version of "Nothing Compares 2 U," a song that reached its greatest fame when Sinead O'Connor covered it in the early '90s. Check out the performance in full above.

The singer has resumed touring and recently incorporated a number of covers into his sets, including "Nothing Compares 2 U." Other songs recently covered by Cornell include U2's "One," Led Zeppelin's "Thank You," John Lennon's "Imagine," Bob Dylan's "The Times They Are A-Changin'" and Franz Schubert's "Ave Maria."
