The Walking Dead has had it tougher and tougher to keep spoilers under wraps, between one death fake-out immediately undercut by set photos, and character descriptions barely concealing their comic counterparts. So too has Xander Berkeley’s mysterious Season 6 villain been unveiled, as exactly the figure comic readers assumed.

Be warned of some light Walking Dead spoilers from here on out, but according to TVLine, Berkeley will in fact appear in the back half of Season 6 as Hilltop leader Gregory, a cowardly figure who turns Rick’s group over to Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his “Saviors.”

And just what is the “Hilltop,” you ask? Well, let’s just say that Alexandria wasn’t the only group to establish some kind of functioning community, one sending out representatives of its own to establish ties. The Gregory of the books proved reasonably bad news as well, conflicting with Maggie on several occasions, while the AMC description reads thusly:

Narcissistic, egotistical, quick to braggadocio and anger, his own skin is his principal concern. He feeds off the superiority of being in control, but he plays it off with Senator-like charm. He’s vibrant, and has the charisma of a car salesman.

Granted, Rick and company have plenty still to deal with when The Walking Dead Season 6 makes its Valentine’s Day return, leaving it uncertain when Berkeley’s Gregory might first appear, or at least those representing him. In the meantime, check out the first 2016 footage below, and stay tuned for the latest Walking Dead.
