Vox Vidorra is an indie rock-soul group, and includes Molly Bouwsma-Schultz, Scott Schultz, Ryan K. Wilson and Theo Ndawillie II.

All its members have been playing music professionally for years and have long been friends, said Chris Kleinman, Vox Vidorra's manager. They had wanted to join talents for a while when they came together last year.

Bouwsma-Schultz had previously played with Blue Molly, Wilson with Mission Orange, Schultz with Valentiger and Theo Ndawillie II with Archery and also contributed to GRS.

Vox Vidorra's name originates from Bouwsma-Schultz, who had studied Spanish and wanted the band's moniker to embrace the language, said Kleinman.

"Vox in Latin means voice and Vidorra means live your life without fear," Kleinman said. "Basically, it is the voice of living with out the worry."

The group's sound can best be described as a three-part harmony featuring each member's multi-instrumentalist talents.

Among Vox Vidorra's performance venues have been Eastown's Eat, Shop & Rock festival, Founder's and The Pyramid Scheme.

Among the many things the band likes about performing in Grand Rapids is putting something out there that their peers respond to, Kleinman said. It is a group with great performers who "are great people as well.

"It's like working with my best friends; it's very easy," he said of Vox Vidorra. "They are very unique, outgoing and fun individuals."
