Here's a grouping of words that you don't see often: a Vietnam veteran was shot recently in Florida when a fight broke out over a sea turtle's nest.

A couple of "sea turtle enthusiasts", one of them a 72-year-old Vietnam veteran, went to the beach on Friday night to watch over a nest of sea turtles that were close to hatching. They were going to protect the tiny turtles and help them get to the ocean once they had hatched. Everything was going well until a random drunk dude stumbled upon them and started yelling and attempting to get a little too close to the turtles.

At that point, the vet sprang into action and told the guy to back up because he was breaking the law, and that he had a gun. A fight ensued and the drunk managed to gain control of the vet's gun and fire a shot, which ended up hitting the vet in the butt.

Within a few minutes, cops were on the scene. The man that was shot was treated and released from the hospital. The drunk was arrested and booked on two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and weapon possession by a convicted felon.
