Wood-TV8 reports that the inaugural Uber kitten fundraiser was a huge success!

The cost was $30 for 15 minutes of cuddle time with kittens delivered by driving service Uber. Proceeds went to the Humane Society of West Michigan.

Humane society development specialist Brooke Hotchkiss said the shelter raised $921.25 during the four-hour event. Plus five of the six kittens that took part in the cuddle sessions were adopted!

Hotchkiss says they made 22 stops total. Demand was so high though, there were some organizations and businesses that the Uber Kitten Cars just couldn't get to.

Hotchkiss says the shelter will look to include more vehicles and kittens next time!
