It's like they say: two heads are better than one.

A two-headed turtle was born June 18 at the San Antonio Zoo and went on display for curious visitors this week.

The creature is a female, and has been given a pair of names in honor of its dual craniums: Thelma and Louise, a nod to the Oscar-winning movie of the same name.

The reptile seems to be in perfect health and experts don't expect it to deal with any issues. Guess you can say it has a good head(s) on its shoulders.

Amazingly, the zoo has a history of two-headed reptiles -- it previously housed a snake with double noggins from 1978 until it died in 1995.
