Yesterday, the Pope visited the area of my hometown. I say it like that, because he was in Juarez, Mexico, which is right across from El Paso, where I'm from. His visit inspired many people, and there were an estimated 1 MILLION extra people in El Paso, and another 2 MILLION crowding into Juarez, on top of the regular population for the Pope's visit.

The Pope held services, and gave many speeches and talks throughout his visit, including one where he spoke about immigration. This Pope usually seems to say a lot of really good things about love and compassion, and how we should all treat each other better, and these things are hard to argue.

But during his visit in Juarez, he talked about how wrong it is to build walls between people, and that good people shouldn't build walls and fences to keep others out. It's not right.

Did the Pope know he was going to be called out for this by anyone other than Donald Trump? Apparently not.

But Twitter is filling up with photos of the GIGANTIC WALL SURROUNDING VATICAN CITY.

The wall is 36 feet high, and at least 10 feet thick, surrounding the entirety of Vatican City, denoting the separation of Vatican City from the rest of Rome. It is a sovereign state, completely ruled by the church, with no influence from Italy. They have their own laws on citizenship, basically stating that you are only a citizen if you're employed to work in Vatican City. Once you lose your job, you are no longer a citizen.

And did I mention they have a GIGANTIC WALL SURROUNDING THE CITY AND SEPARATING IT FROM THE REST OF ITALY?

Just remember, NO ONE is safe from internet fact-checking. In fact, I'm sure someone is going to fact-check this post and call me out on something. Just remember, I'm not a journalist, and also don't care.
