Aussie fusion metallists Twelve Foot Ninja are about to hit the road on a North American trek that includes a mix of both festival and headline dates. The bubbling under band is touring in support of their new album 'Silent Machine,' which dropped last fall.

The band traffics in an experimental metal style, which has attracted the attention of and support from some of the biggest and most respected acts in metal, ranging from Mike Portnoy and Fear Factory's Dino Cazares to Misha Mansoor of Periphery, the latter of which said they were one of the best live bands he has ever seen in his life, commenting, "Holy f--k, they are tight!"

With those endorsements from those A-listers and those heavyweights in their corner, you can't help but be interested in what Twelve Foot Ninja are doling out on the sonic level.

Twelve Foot Ninja have been thrilled with the returns for their 'Silent Machine' album, but like most artists, the album didn't come about without undergoing some trepidation first. Shane Russell told us late last year, "I remember listening to the demos and having moments going, 'Wow I think this is actually pretty good' and then other times I’m like, 'I’ve heard it too much, I can’t tell.' As soon as we released it, it’s been amazing. It was all worth it, wasn’t it? It’s gotten us here."
