Last month, Tool announced a handful of West Coast tour dates, but it has added more concerts to the trek. The tour still launches March 4 in Spokane, Wash., and will now go through March 27, wrapping up in Phoenix.

VIP pre-sales for most of the newly announced shows go on sale Thursday, with the general sale Friday. For more details, go here.

While Tool won't be playing frontman Maynard James Keenan's 50th birthday party, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer and reunited Failure will. The two day fiesta will be May 10 and 11 at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles.

If you're a Tool memorabilia collector, you might want to check out the band's contribution to Clive Barker's Kickstarter project for a hardcover art book. The band donated some signed custom tour posters. Only one is left, and it can be yours for a pledge of $2200.

The status of a new Tool album remains up in the air. The band is working on new music, but a timetable hasn't been set. Keenan stated in a recent interview that the creation of a Tool album was “a long process.” He also added that he doesn’t write the instrumentals and was waiting on his bandmates to bring their songs to him.
