It doesn't matter which side of the aisle you fall on, we can all agree that this election has been filled with misinformation from both sides. Time and time again, candidates were fact-checked on bold claims and even though they held no factual basis, their supporters would still echo them. This is just another example of that.
President-elect Donald Trump took to Twitter last week and claimed that 3 million illegal votes were cast for his opponent. With no proof for his claim, it has been debunked by many sources. However, watch the clip to see a group of his supporters echo the claim. Even when presented with evidence to the contrary, they dig their heels in and say it really happened. Why? Because they read it on Facebook, of course!
