We're a few days into a late-arriving spring in Michigan with the weather finally turning towards summer. In Northern Michigan, this dog is enjoying the last gasps of a seemingly never-ending winter of 2018.

The image comes from the Krupps Resort which is located in the base of the Keweenaw Peninsula in the community of Twin Lakes halfway between Houghton and, well, not much other than pure unspoiled Michigan.

Even in mid-April, the snow was at "Holy Balls" level according to their Facebook page. And you know it's a long winter when a seasoned Yooper seemingly is shocked by the snow. But as the pictures show, even the deepest Michigan snows melt, eventually.

The dog's name is Kaia, and seeing her photos, it shouldn't come as a surprise how popular she likely is around the resort.

If you want to meet Kaia and enjoy some time in the Upper Peninsula, find out more about Krupps Resort here.
